Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) Fire Detection System for Oil Storage Tanks
The Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) Fire Detection System for Oil Storage Tanks uses an anti-static, corrosion-resistant armored optical cable installed on the tank surface to perform continuous, safe, and reliable temperature monitoring. The system utilizes real-time temperature data obtained from the DTS to detect overheating, leakage, or fire hazards, while also providing valuable information for assessing the operational lifespan of the storage tank.
Introduction to the plan

Oil and gas tank is an important means of oil and gas storage. Because oil and gas are inflammable and explosive dangerous goods and light oil storage is volatile, it is impossible to use general electronic products to implement temperature monitoring and fire detection alarm for storage tanks. This work can be completed safely and effectively by laying antistatic and corrosion-resistant optical cables on the surface of the storage tank using the distributed optical fiber temperature measurement system. According to the real-time temperature detection data of the optical fiber temperature measurement system, it can not only alarm overheating, leakage and fire, but also provide a basis for judging the life of the storage tank.
