DEAN Technology Fiber Optic Linear Heat Detector Obtains Compulsory Product Certification
Publication Date:May 11, 2016

DEAN Technology's Distributed Fiber Optic Linear Heat Detector obtained China's compulsory product certification in May 2016, marking an important milestone in the product's testing and compliance history.

Compulsory Product Certification for Fiber Optic Linear Heat Detection

The certification provides documented evidence of the product's compliance assessment as a fire detection product in China.

Distributed fiber optic linear heat detection uses optical fiber as a continuous sensing medium to monitor temperature conditions along the protected area. This approach is particularly suitable for long-distance and large-area fire monitoring applications where continuous temperature coverage and accurate alarm location are required.

From Type Testing to Product Certification

The compulsory product certification followed an earlier testing milestone for DEAN Technology's distributed fiber optic linear heat detection product.

In January 2016, the company's JTW-XOM-DSCDTS-P Distributed Fiber Optic Linear Heat Detector obtained a type test report from the National Fire Electronic Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center.

The subsequent compulsory product certification in May 2016 represents another documented milestone in the development and compliance history of DEAN Technology's fiber optic linear heat detection products.

A Documented Milestone in Fire Detection Product Development

Together, the 2016 type testing and compulsory product certification records provide historical evidence of DEAN Technology's continued development of distributed fiber optic technology for fire detection applications.

Today, fiber optic linear heat detection is used in industrial and infrastructure environments where continuous temperature monitoring, long-distance coverage, and reliable fire detection are required.
